Tricholoma sulphureum

Sulphur Knight

I haven't seen these for the last few years, until I came across them again today. The bright yellow cap and stem makes hard to miss.
The distinctive smell seems more pronounced in the older fb's. I was hard pressed to describe it as "gas like" or "sulphurous" in the younger specimens like those in the first picture.
The gills are sinuate (notched) which at first glance makes them look damaged.
These were growing in the leaf litter under some Oaks.
