I'm stumped. Yesterday I found 50/60 of these striking fruiting bodies on the Black Mountain, on the old quarries opposite Carreg Cennen. I've been through every fungi book I've got and I can't find out what these are. Any ideas? They've got white spores (so not Entoloma?), 2-4cm wide umbilicate caps are waxy (but wrinkled when dry) with an obvious depressed and darkened centre, free crowded gills, and the solid looking twisted stipes are hollow. There's a smattering of waxcaps on the same grassland, mainly Hygrocybe psittacina, H.reidii and H.pratensis.
