There were several Common Morels (Morchella esclenta) scattered along the sandy paths in Pembrey Forest this morning, plus about half a dozen other species.
A few days ago Stephanie found some for the first time so was very excited ---- This prompted me to look at dune grassland (cattle compounds) Pembrey saltings where there were a few (as usual but none last year) also in Pembrey forest where several groups. These in the forest were along tractor tracks -- forest harvesting in past two years.
